Chilufya Sampa

Special Advisor, Competition law and policy

Chilufya Sampa has been involved in competition policy and law for the past 20 years. Prior to becoming an independent consultant, Chilufya served as the head of the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission in Zambia from 2011 to 2022. Under his leadership, the Commission played a key role in the adoption and implementation of the current Competition and Consumer Protection Act and its guidelines

Chilufy has been an active member of the International Competition Network (ICN), the African Competition Forum (ACF) and the International Consumer Protection Enforcement Network (ICPEN) which he presided in 2018-19. He is currently a Fellow at the Consumer Unity Trust Society and consults for various national and international bodies.
